About Preservation Idaho Membership

Membership begins when your payment is received and is good for one calendar year from the date of purchase.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Preservation Idaho receives no ongoing state or federal operating funds. Our work is made possible through membership donations, grants, sponsorships, and additional contributions. Your membership support directly fuels our advocacy and educational programs, and all membership donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

how to access your Membership Account

If you have a membership account and would like to access it, visit the Memberships / Donation page and click "LOGIN" or "Log In for Member Benefits". On a desktop computer, the login button is at the top right of the page, and on a mobile device, it’s centered on the screen. Use your email and password to access your membership account. If you’ve forgotten your password, simply click “Forgot Password?” to reset it. You will need to login to receive any discounts on event tickets and tours so keep the login handy or saved.

Donation of stock or bonds

Donating appreciated securities, including stocks and bonds, is an easy and tax-effective way for you to make a donation to PI. Contact us for more information at kellie@preservationidaho.org.

Give Through Your IRA

If you are 70½ or older, you can use your IRA to fulfill your charitable goals. Contact your IRA custodian and make a qualified charitable distribution. Your donation may satisfy your RMD, if applicable.

It’s a simple, tax-efficient way to support the causes you care about while meeting your annual IRA requirements.

How do I give online?

2. Make a gift of $25 or more, and your gift will be generously matched dollar-for-dollar up to $7,500.

How can I make a membership donation by check? Download a reply form here and make your check payable to Preservation Idaho. Mail the check and the completed form to:

How do I purchase multiple memberships? Click “Membership Packages” at the top of the Memberships / Donations page and purchase memberships that way.

What if I am unsure if my membership is active? How do I check? If you have a membership account and would like to renew or access it, click "LOGIN" or "Log In for Member Benefits" on the Memberships/ Donations page using your email and password to access your membership account. Alternatively, call or email us, and we can check for you.

What are employee matching gift programs? Did you know that your employer may match your donation? It’s an easy way to double the impact of your giving. Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving initiatives in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible non-profit organizations. It's an easy way to more than double the impact of your giving to us!

Is my membership donation tax deductible? Preservation Idaho (Idaho Historic Preservation Council, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; TAX ID# 23-7225385. Your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please consult your tax advisor for complete details.

What is the best family membership? While Preservation Idaho doesn't offer a specific family membership, the Benefactor membership is the most popular option for families as it covers three individual memberships.

What if I would like to include my business in my membership/donation? When making a gift, state in the Donation Notes that you would like to include your business in the Fall Matching Challenge, and we will list your business as a Business Partner.

What if I recently renewed or became a member? That's okay! You can still support the Matching Challenge by making an additional donation above and beyond your annual membership contribution. Please be sure to check the following box when making your additional donation online to avoid creating a duplicate membership in your name. Your original membership will remain intact: “I would like to waive the benefits associated with this donation.” See below.
