2024 Heritage Homes Tour
Tour Details:
We’re excited to have you join us for this year’s tour! To get started, please check in at the south entrance of Roosevelt Elementary School (908 E Jefferson Street, Boise), where you'll receive a wristband and program booklet to begin your self-guided tour of six private homes. The route is approximately 1.2 miles and forms a loop through the neighborhood. You can walk or drive, depending on your mobility needs.

Member Tickets / Advance Purchase: $25 (fees apply)- AVAILABLE UNTIL OCT. 5TH
Non-Member Tickets / Advance Purchase: $30 (fees apply)- AVAILABLE UNTIL OCT. 5TH
Limited Day-of Tickets: $35 (fees apply)- PRICING ON OCT. 6TH
Day-of tickets can be purchased at the check-in at Roosevelt Elementary.
Key Details:
Docents will be stationed in various rooms of each home to share historical insights. The program booklet offers additional details on the homes and the neighborhood.
Self-paced tour: You can explore at your leisure between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Please note, check-in is available between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and homes will close at 3:00 PM. If you check in after 2:30 PM, you may not have time to visit all the homes.
Additional Information:
Tickets: Non-refundable but transferable. Please notify us if you transfer your tickets.
Weather: Tours will happen rain or shine. Plan accordingly—bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, a water bottle, and an umbrella if needed.
Check-in: You do not need to bring a receipt or ticket; your name will be on a checklist for wristband pickup.
Restrictions: Inside the homes, the following are not allowed: shoes, smoking, photography, food, open drinks, backpacks, use of private restrooms, and pets. For special accommodations, please contact us at kellie@preservationidaho.org before the tour.
Parking: Street parking is available near Roosevelt Elementary, though the area can get busy. We encourage carpooling or alternative transportation. Bicycle parking is also available near check-in.
Please Note: The homes along the tour have stairs that will need to be navigated. If you are someone has mobility concerns, please keep this in mind while planning for the tour. We recommend comfortable footwear and taking your time as you explore the homes.
Raffle & Membership Matching Opportunity:
Raffle Tickets: Available for purchase at check-in before, during, and directly after the Heritage Homes Tour. As a bonus, receive one free raffle ticket for every membership purchased during the event!
Raffle Drawing: The drawing will take place on Sunday, October 6th, at 3:15 PM at the check-in area. You don’t need to be present to win.

The 18th Annual Heritage Homes Tour will be held in the charming Historic East End Neighborhood, featuring six private homes that offer a rare glimpse into their unique architecture and fascinating hidden histories.
This year’s HHT is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore the architectural beauty and historical significance of these private residences. Thanks to the generosity of the homeowners, these privately owned homes will be opened to ticket holders, with Preservation Idaho volunteers providing historical and educational insights.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, an architecture aficionado, or simply curious about the stories behind these iconic homes, the Heritage Homes Tour promises a rewarding experience that celebrates the rich heritage and cultural importance of the neighborhood.

What you need to know:
The check-in location is at the south entrance of Roosevelt Elementary School, located at 908 E Jefferson Street, Boise. Additional tour details will be announced to ticket holders via email (please make sure we have an updated email for you).
You may check-in at any time between 11 AM and 2 PM. The tour ends at 3 PM. If you check-in after 2:30 PM, you will not be able to see all the homes on the tour.
If you are a member and would like to take advantage of the $5 advanced purchase member discount, click LOGIN FOR MEMBER BENEFITS to access your online membership account to purchase tickets. Note that day-of tickets are $35.
Credit card processing fees will apply at checkout.
If you'd prefer to pay by check to avoid the credit card processing fees, please mail a check to Preservation Idaho PO Box 1495 Boise, ID 83701. *Please note what you are purchasing (tickets for HHT).
Email reminders, parking information, and walking tour details will be sent via email at least 48 hours before the tour; please make sure we have a current email for you.

Tours are not rescheduled due to weather, rain, or hot/cold temperatures. Please plan accordingly with comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, an umbrella if needed for sun or rain, and a bottle of water.
