For preservation efforts in downtown Hailey

Rob has worked to preserve downtown Hailey – which as he will tell you is no easy task. As chair of the Hailey Historic Preservation Commission, Rob is constantly faced with pressure from the development community to change this small mining community into a resort mecca. Rob “retired” to Hailey in 2004 and has since devoted countless hours to obtaining grants and initiating programs to recognize and protect the cultural history of his new city which is why Robert Lonning is a Friend of Historic Preservation.
