For the restoration of the John and Melissa Atkinson House in Boise

The restoration of this building is one of six that Greg has completed in the last decade, and while his experience has no doubt helped him, the process doesn’t get easier. In order to restore this beautiful four-square and modernize it for contemporary office space, Greg had to fight with the city of Boise just to retain his historic windows and important interior details such as the original stairway banister. His success is proof that one need not sacrifice the historic integrity of a building in order to satisfy the demands of modern use. This is why Preservation Idaho is proud to honor Greg for Excellence in Historic Preservation.
