Historic Archaeological Sites - Statewide

As a product of the changing landscape and the increase recreational demand in Idaho, many archaeological sites are quickly being threatened. Areas such as those along the Historic Lolo Trail and the Snake River are seeing a tremendous increase in visitors to the sites. Often these highly sensitive areas can easily face irreparable damage. Preservation Idaho will continue to promote the preservation and sensitive exploration of these resources – they truly are the irreplaceable.
