In addition to our guided summer ArchWalk tours and biannual Bar & Brothel Tour, Preservation Idaho can create a customized guided tour of a specific area or topic of interest for you. This service is available year-round.
Sometimes it is difficult in today's fast paced world to take time to look at the buildings with which we interact every day. The ArchWalk program is designed to do just that. Learn more about the architecture, history and notoriety of Downtown buildings and neighborhoods each month during the summer.
Here you will find a collection of self-guided tours of historical sites and buildings throughout the state. Most are walking tours, but some of them might require the use of a bike or automobile to see all the tour highlights.
This biannual event takes participants through Boise's colorful past. The tour includes visits to historic bars with a narrative about Boise's brothel days between stops. The Boise Tour Train provides transporation. Early 1900's period attire encourage!
Once a year we host an Annual Meeting for our members to mingle and meet with other preservationists from across the state. This year's Annual Meeting is tentatively planned for December 2010.
