About the Tour

  • Self-guided walking tour.
  • You are allowed to enter the homes. You will be provided booties to cover your shoes.
  • All participants must check-in at the starting point. 
  • You will receive a brochure with descriptions of the homes and a map. The brochure will also serve as your ticket for entry in each home.

ArchWalks

Sometimes it is difficult in today's fast paced world to take time to look at the buildings with which we interact every day. The ArchWalk program is designed to do just that. Learn more about the architecture, history and notoriety of downtown Boise buildings and neighborhoods on the last Thursday of each month during the summer. Read more »

Self-Guided Tours

Here you will find a collection of self-guided tours of historical sites and buildings throughout the state. Most are walking tours, but some of them might require the use of a bike or automobile to see all the tour highlights. Read more »

Bar & Brothel Tour

This biannual event takes participants through Boise's colorful past. The tour includes visits to historic bars with a narrative about Boise's brothel days between stops. The Boise Tour Train provides transporation. Early 1900's period attire encourage! Read more »

Annual Meeting

Once a year we host an Annual Meeting for our members to mingle and meet with other preservationists from across the state. This year's Annual Meeting is tentatively planned for December 2010.
