PRINT BOISE 2017: Historic Walking Tours & Plein Art Printmaking

Sunday, July 9, 2017 - 10:30am - 12:00pm

Event Type

varies - see description

Join Wingtip Press and Preservation Idaho architectural historian Amy Pence-Brown on a free walking tour of Boise as we explore Boise’s historic and cultural diversity, first hearing tales of Boise’s past, then plein air printmaking.

We will meet at various locations (listed below) to explore the history and create multiple rubbings of artifacts from city sidewalks, signage, historic markers and textured surfaces along the way.

Families welcome (best fit for ages 6 and up). Wear walking shoes, dress for the weather and bring a bottle of water.

Each participant will receive a print to take home and keep and the others will end up in the City of Boise Arts & History Department public art collection and be exhibited at MING Studios for First Thursday on August 3, 2017.

You must register in advance, as space in each workshop is limited! Maximum 20 people per tour, register each individual separately.

You can register for ANY of the upcoming Print Boise events using the Register Now Button to go to our online calendar.
